BAN DIESEL FOR CLEAN AIR
Paris banned diesel vehicles & aged 13 years or over cars from center city to tackle pollution. Environmental protection exhortation urged government some moves to better the harsh environment. Paris target is to phase out diesel engine by 2024. The advocate behind all these move is to clean up the air for this city by reducing the diesel emission. The city, listed as the worst western capital according to Greenpeace Report, is suffering smog shrouded for long.
Followed the banned of diesel engines, the related business drops as car sales declined. Manufacturers are in bad time and so are the workers as human resource demands down. More factories are applying for assistance and subsidy from government. Authority in position to protect labor right, in return, will ask France companies a minimum material procurement from local suppliers.
ELECTRIC CAR ERA COMING
Verdict and debates, pro and cons are revolving around the diesel engine which was supposed to be designed for petrol cost-efficient. Irony are these diesel cars now to be the target of environmental issues while the electric cars become the contemporary darling. Will someday our community again starts to denounce the shortcoming of electric cars and argue for its battery is pollution source indeed? Technology changes by passing day; human natural changes in second.
